Welcome to U.S. Opera, a web page dedicated to opera
by American composers.
|
|
Opera has been a part of American musical life for over 150 years, but
only today are American opera composers beginning to recieve the
recognition they deserve. I hope that this web site will be useful to
anyone interested in this neglected area of the American musical
landscape.
|
|
I've redesigned the site to include more information and to
make everything easier to find. Let me know what you think!

| New! |
1 Sep. 2005:
usopera.com is undergoing a major upgrade, including updates to many pages and a redesign of the site's back end to make future updates faster and easier. Watch for the launch of the new opera.com site sometime in late 2005 or early 2006. In the meantime, please feel free to browse the current site, and of course please keep sending me updates, corrections, and announcements.
