Reginald De Koven was a prolific writer of operettas around the turn of the century, but he also tried his hand at two operas. Today he is mostly known if at all, for his song "Oh Promise Me," which for decades was interpolated into his most popular operetta, Robin Hood, as well as being a favorite at weddings.
